Ojos Abiertos Films has collaborated in the first short film capsule of the CINEMAT cycle of screenings within the CONFInARTE exhibition organised by the Gabinete de Hyde in the Caja Blanca of the Youth Department of the Málaga City Council. The first day, which took place on Thursday 8th July, saw the selection of the following films and the presence of representatives from each of them: La anciana told by its director Sara Avilés, La pareja directed by Marta Cora Castro, El trabajo with actress Monti Casquel and Watani by director Joan Paüls. The session was very well received, reaching its full capacity and having a select audience.
After the screening, Davinia Burgos began a discussion with the representatives of each of the works in which they talked about the filming procedures, what they learnt, the difficulties experienced by the team and their work capacity. In this way, the audience was able to get a close-up look at both the short films themselves and the work behind the cameras. People from the different departments of the short filmmakers were also able to explain their work process. The aim of this colloquium is to promote Malaga and Andalusian filmmaking talent in its closest environment and to disseminate and bring the public closer to the different professions of filmmaking.
