During 2015 and 2016, the scientist Fernando Ventura began to manipulate the DNA of some people to investigate their traumas and the possibility of changing their genetic sequences. The genetic manipulation led to a high-profile police case and the tragic end of the scientist. Some of the people whose DNA was manipulated are the son of a drug dealer, a trans boy, an accident survivor and an international stripper. They reconstruct their stories, with their testimonies and personal archives, along with those of the experiment they were part of.
Baltazar Tokman is the director and producer of 5 feature films (La sombra de las luces, Tiempo Muerto, Planetario, Iam Mad and Casa Coraggio), all of which have been screened at international festivals. Iam Mad has been nominated for the Silver Condor for best documentary. Casa Coraggio participated in the Argentinean competition at Bafici and was released in cinemas. In 2018 it won in Zonacine at the Malaga Film Festival for Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress.
